You can easily find thousands of free and paid brushes, patterns, actions, shapes and other Photoshop stuff. Many beginners ask, how to install all this inventory. In fact, it’s very easy, but who wants to read manuals 
I am going to describe Photoshop elements installation in details.
Here we go.
Brushes. Brushes files have an extension of .abr, e.g. mynewbrush.abr. You must copy brush files to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop ##\Presets\Brushes. I am supposing that you have C: drive as a system drive, and that you installed Photoshop in a default directory. ## means the version of your Photoshop. Please note that in Photoshop 7 the .abr format was changed, thus brushes for Photoshop >=7.0 won’t work on earlier versions. However backward compatibility works: you can use any brush if you are using Photoshop 7.0 or later. Once the brush files have been copied, you need to click an arrow in the right corner of the pallette, and then select ‘Load brushes’. That’s it, quick and easy.
